SHARED ACCOMMODATION FOR EXPATS in Abuja consists of several unfurnished and semi-furnished bedrooms for single or double occupancy.These rooms/bedrooms are rented out to different tenants but are housed under one roof with one main entrance for all occupants. Bedrooms have their own private toilet and shower. A semi-equipped kitchen is shared by the tenants. A resident domestic staff is available 6 days a week for general housekeeping services (cleaning of kitchen, stairs, hallways and other shared areas, washing of dishes and garbage disposal, etc.). Major personal housekeeping services like laundry and ironing of clothes for tenants (optional) can be arranged at extra cost. Weekly marketing services (optional) are also available on special arrangement and at extra cost.

Price: 1.2 Million Naira each room per annum, which includes the following:

Ambassador John Groffen of the Netherlands officially opens Jelle Bulten's art installation exhibition in Abuja

An exhibition by JELLE BULTEN opened on the 16th of January 2016 at the Though Pyramid Art Centre. Officially opened by His Excellency John Groffen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands, the show will last till the 26th of January.

Nigerian artists gather in Abuja for a night of jazz at the Indian High Commission

On Saturday, 16th January 2016, I was at the Indian High Commission for The Diplomatic Jazz Night, organised by Onyeka Nwelue, with the support of the High Commission and Airtel.

The event was attended by the Indian community as well as members of the Diplomatic Corp in Nigeria, including the US Ambassador, James F. Entwistle, and the Ukrainian Ambassador, Dr. Valerii Aleksandruk.

Doing Business in Abuja - 4 top reasons why businesses fail in the FCT

Russia opens new embassy complex in Abuja (photos)

Russia officially opened its new embassy complex in Nigeria on 10th December 2015. The ceremony was held with the participation of officials of the Russian Foreign Ministry, staff of the Embassy, and representatives of the construction company “Glavzarubezhstroy”. This was announced recently on the Official Facebook page of the Embassy of Russia in Nigeria with accompanying photos of the historical event. (More photos after the cut...)

Invitation to watch two stage plays at Sheraton Abuja Hotel tomorrow, 13th December

I love watching stage plays and I will be at Sheraton Abuja Hotel tomorrow, Sunday 13th December, to watch two comedies: Ahmed Yerima's 'The Lottery Ticket' and Jerry Alagbaoso's 'Specks in Our Eyes.'

The stage plays, produced by Mosaic Theatre Production and Cruise Entertainment, will start by 4 p.m and will both be repeated as from 7pm at the Ladi Kwali Convention Centre of the Sheraton Abuja Hotel. They will be performed by some of Nigeria's best Theatre Artistes, such as Patrick Diabuah, Omololu Sodiya, Odera Orji, Kelvin-Mary Peters and a host of others.

German saxophone quartet performs in Abuja at the invitation of the German Embassy (photos)

Close to 150 spectators, including this blogger, were thrilled on 12th November 2015 at Thought Pyramid Art Centre when four saxophonist from Germany gave a live performance of their unique sound. They played their own compositions as well as classic rock and heavy metal, including AC / DC and Black Sabbath.

Taste of Indonesia - an exhibition of Indonesian food, craft, and music, at the Indonesian Ambassador's Residence on 21 November
